Ross Alexander has served as the Secretary General of Seamen and Waterfront Workers Trade Union (SWWTU) for the past 21 years. He is an Education Officer with the National Trade Union Centre (NATUC) since 2005, the Coordinator for the Latin American/Caribbean region for the International Metalworkers Federation (IMF) since 1989 and he was the Chairman of the Caribbean Bauxite and Miners Federation for 13 years. He undertook an intensive course in Economics at George Meany College in Washington and also participated in several other Economics and Industrial Relations courses.
