About NEL
The National Enterprises Limited (NEL) was formed to consolidate the Government of Trinidad & Tobago’s shares in specific state enterprises and to facilitate public offerings on Trinidad & Tobago’s Stock Exchange. NEL has been mandated to help enable a wide cross-section of T&T nationals to invest in the country’s crown jewels – those profitable state enterprises that fuel this country’s economy.
Since its incorporation on August 27, 1999; NEL has provided nationals with investment opportunities in Trinidad & Tobago’s most valuable industries. These include natural gas and energy-based manufacturing, power generation, telecommunications, and the marketing and manufacturing of basic foods. NEL’s current market capitalisation is over TT$2 Billion - approximately TT$2.07B as at June 14, 2023. Throughout the years, over 5,000 shareholders have earned consistent returns in the form of dividends and stock appreciation their NEL shares.
